PUBLIC SERVICE

Since my career began, I have donated part of my time to public service. Early on, I was part of a massive effort to eradicate smoking by changing public opinion on the topic. I took aim at gun safety, pedestrian safety, the dangers of smoking around children, wearing bike helmets and helping fund uncompensated hospital care. At one point, I was nominated as “an Angel” for winning so many Halo awards, a design competition honoring those who demonstrated “excellence in public service marketing.” The efforts (for Harborview Injury Prevention & Research Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, DSHS, and more) were offered as brochures, TV spots, billboards, posters, and more.
